This week we’re welcoming the lovely Wanda Hentges into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited her on Instagram before then you are in for a real treat!

Thinking of you is from the Simon Says Stamp Sentiment Strips Friendship pack.

Andrea used Studio Light’s Mini Zig Zag Journal Dies to make a fabric tag book. She also used Simple Stories’ Color Palette paper and Craft Consortium’s Grunge Light Tones paper. She finished it off with die-cut numbers made from from Tim Holtz’s Sidekick Starter Kit.

Anna-Karin made a light and airy card this week using Studio Light’s Timeless Peony set. The papers and vellum sentiments are from Studio Light Vintage Spring Mixed Paper Pad. She also used Studio Light Organza Ribbon & Hemp Cord Pinks.

Barbara created a card using two stencils for the background: Circles Mask by Studio Light and Spots (mini version, set 59) by Stampers Anonymous. In the center, the flowers are part of the Abstract Florals stamp set by Tim Holtz. The colors used are Ranger Distress Ink Pads Dried Marigold, Seedless Preserves and Salvaged Patina.

Cheiron created a floral card and used Studio LIght Brown Hemp Cord as an accent on her floral card. To make the card she used the Tim Holtz Floral Trims and Ledger Script stamps that she colored in with Distress Oxides, added detail with Distress Watercolor Pencils and Distress Black Soot Paint Splatter. To finish her card she added a CZ Design hello die.

Emma used a Studio Light Funky Tag which she layered onto an Etcetera Panel and die cut Rosettes. She created a pastel background by blending Distress Inks through the Mini Dots Layering Stencil from Set 59 and then added the star of the show, Gladys, the Colorize die from Tim Holtz and Sizzix, who is all dressed and ready for a summer Carnival.

Kath created a card for a gardening friend inspired by the poppies in her garden, nodding their heads in the gentle breeze. She used Studio Light Wildflower Basket stamp set coloured with Tim Holtz/Ranger Ink Distress Watercolor Pencils, Studio Light Sentiments Essentials Sticker Book and Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Spots Layering Stencil.

Macarena made a textured tag in pastel colors. She used Studio Light Background Elements dies for the base and then painted it with Tim Holtz Ranger Flip Top Distress Lost Shadow Paint and added some color with Dina Wakley Ranger Scrible Sticks.

Maura created a light, pastel background for her Studio Light Funny die cut tag using Daniel Smith Watercolors like Quinacridone Coral blended with Winsor Newton Permanent White Gouache. The cute ephemera are from Studio Light Art By Marlene’s So-Fishticated Paper Elements.

Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Stamperia Sea Land 8×8 Paper on the background, and decorated it with Studio Light Vintage Postcards DIY Block Mini and Tim Holtz Sizzix Vault World Travel Thinlits Dies.

Zoey used Studio Light Vellum, Unicolor & Elements to create the layers on her tag. She also used Tim Holtz Sizzix Vault Scribbly Butterfly and other Ideaology Embellishments

It’s Estelle’s  last week with us in the Designer Spotlight and we would like to say a huge thank you for all of your creations over the past month. It has been a real pleasure to have you along with us :-)

Estelle made a card using multiple stamps to make a collage. She used Tim Holtz Floral Trims, Gothic Tapestry, Creative Blocks, and Stamper’s Anonymous Classics #5. She colored all the images and the background with Tim Holtz Watercolor pencils:  tattered rose, kitsch flamingo, and candied applepeeled paint, mustard seed and speckled egg.

Andrea sketched a girl for her bookmark and colored her in with Copics (YR04, YR07 and YR09) and Spectrum Noir TriBlend markers. She added some stamping with AALL & Create’s ABC CBA! and Franking stamp sets and collaged in some patterned paper from Dina Wakley’s Collage Sparks 2.

Anna-Karin made a lemon butterfly tag this week. The butterflies were die cut with Tim Holtz Vault Boutique die set, as were the doilies in the background. The butterflies were die cut from Simon Says Stamp Glitter Cardstock and the sentiment with the new Simon Says Stamp Just a Note 2 die.

Barbara made a pair of tags using two Idea-ology Paper Dolls as the protagonist. She chose a vibrant color palette and painted with Ranger Distress Spray Stain: Salvaged Patina, Seedless Preserves and Fossilized Amber. For the focal points of both tags she decided on the new dies from Tim Holtz Sizzix’s Vault collection: Boutique, Watch Gears and World Travel. The Spots stencil and two stamp sets by Stampers Anonymous, Mr. Rabbit and Faded Type are her choices for the background

Cheiron created a card with pretty feminine leaves using the Simon Says Stamp Lush Leaves Wafer dies. She placed them on top of an alcohol ink background using Denim, Patina and Dijon alcohol inks. She splattered over her card with Gilded Foundry Wax. She added a sentiment from the Just a Note 2 dies.

Emma used an Etcetera Panel to create a feminine project using a Curio Frame and a Tim Holtz idea-ology Photomatic image as the main focal point. She used the Stampers Anonymous Floral Trims, Crochet Trims and Curiosity Shop stamp sets to add stamped imagery around the photograph.

Kath created cards with a feminine theme using 49andMarket Spectrum Gardenia Classic papers for the backgrounds, Sizzix/49andMarket Painted Pencil Butterflies stamps and dies and Hello You Sentiments, decorated with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault Boutique Thinlits and Idea-ology Snapshots Vol 2.

Macarena created a very delicate and bright card with some pastel rings made with Tim Holtz Halftone and Rings stamps set which she stamped with Tim Holtz Distress Lost Shadow Paint and after watercoloring the rings added some Hero Arts Collage Background Hero Transfers.

Maura created a tag celebrating the feminine mystique. She used Graphic 45 8×8 Imagine papers, edged some of the floral pieces with Simon Says Stamp’s Pawsitively Saturated Terracotta ink, added Tim Holtz Sprocket Gears and Watch parts, and since diamonds are said to be a girl’s best friend, the final touch was Simon Says Stamp’s Dazzling Clear Gems.

Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Stamperia Roseland 8×8 Paper on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Idea-ology PAPER DOLLS PORTRAITS and Prima Marketing RUSTY METAL CLIPS Art Daily Planner.

Zoey used Floral Elements and Ledger Script to decorate her tag! She used Distress Mica Stain + Distress Archival Ink to stamp . To add even more interest to her background she used Splotches and Set60 Mini Stencil

So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
